I gathered the quotes mostly from profiles/interviews of Carret written in the 1990s by Forbes, the New York Times, etc. The best one IMO is from 1994 by Jason Zweig ("Buy 'Em Cheap & Hold 'Em). Link: https://jasonzweig.com/philip-carret-buy-em-cheap-and-hold-em/
Carret wrote an autobiography -- "A Money Mind at Ninety" -- but, unfortunately, it's long out-of-print. He also wrote a couple of other investing books, too, from much earlier in his career and was working on another one ("The Patient Investor") at the time of his death.
Didn't knew about him, really interesting! Reminds me of reading the Davis Dynasty...
Thank you for sharing my friend!
I really wish there was more info out there about Phil Carret. He was a fascinating guy.
Where are all these quotes from? Is there a good biography on Carret?

I read "A Money Mind at Ninety", and unfortunately was thoroughly unimpressed. It had very little meat on investing unfortunately.
That's disappointing to hear. I've never read it, but hoped that it was kind of like his magnum opus on patient investing.
Intriguing comments from others.
I bought and read and Phillip Carrets autobiography many years ago. You have reminded me to pull it out of my book shelf and reread
I found him quite inspirational. He was an early Charlie Munger in my opinion
“An early Charlie Munger” is a great way to describe him. I wish there was more by Carret to read. Just a fascinating investor and man.
