Buffett told the Wall Street Journal that he didn't give Abel the Delta Airlines idea and NAIC filings show it was purchased by the broker Ted Weschler uses (Glen Eagle Wealth) so that sounds like a Ted pick.
It does. Macy's was purchased through Wallacbeth Capital, which is also the broker used to buy Alphabet and Lennar in the quarter. Delta is the only Glen Eagle Wealth issue in the purchases box (this is only at National Indemnity, their biggest pool of invested capital). In the past it has seemed like Buffett & Todd Combs both used Wallacbeth but only Ted Weschler used Glen Eagle Wealth for order execution. That doesn't mean Ted doesn't also use Wallacbeth sometimes. Todd's portfolio was sold using Wallacbeth.
I originally figured they went with GOOGL for the voting rights, so was a little surprised to see GOOG in this latest batch of purchases. I don’t really follow the price action of the two different classes, though, so that might have played a factor.
She definitely keeps a lower profile these days. The best I’ve been able to find is that she serves on the boards of Stellantis, Dakota Gold, and a couple others.
I sort of wonder if buffet bought Google and sold visa. If Abel made these picks buffet would not privately or publicly criticized him. He gave up control and it would not look good if he criticized the first stock trades.

Great catch! Thanks!
By any chance does the NAIC filing show the broker that purchased Macys?

Hi Nola — Thanks for the info!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the info!
I am wondering how they decided to choose between two different symbols of Google.

I was told Terry Smith was Britain’s Warren Buffett?
Alice Schroeder: where has she been the past 15 years?

Visa was sold as part of Todd Combs exit and liquidation of his portfolio
